Is HRApp.lk really free for small teams?
Yes. Businesses with up to 5 employees can keep employee records, run leave requests and use mobile clock-in for free, with no time limit and no card. Payroll and the other paid features start at LKR 190 per employee per month.
Does HRApp.lk calculate EPF, ETF and APIT?
Yes. Payroll calculates employee EPF (8%), employer EPF (12%), ETF (3%) and APIT using the current Inland Revenue tax tables, then prepares your EPF C-Form and reminds you before each payment deadline. When rates change, we update them for every customer.
Can staff who don't have a smartphone clock in?
Yes. Put any tablet at the entrance in kiosk mode. Staff clock in by scanning a QR code that changes every few seconds and taking a quick selfie, so nobody can clock in for a friend. They also get leave approvals and payslip alerts by SMS.
Does it work in Sinhala and Tamil?
Payslips and the employee app are being translated into Sinhala and Tamil, so every employee can read their own salary breakdown. The admin screens stay in English.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
You pay monthly by card through PayHere, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex and local bank cards. You can change plans or cancel at any time from your workspace, and you can export your data whenever you want.
Can I move my data in from Excel?
Yes. Download our spreadsheet template, paste in your employees, and upload it. We check every row and show you what needs fixing before anything is imported.
Can our accounting software or an AI assistant connect to HRApp.lk?
Yes. HRApp.lk has a documented REST API, and the Pro plan adds an MCP server so assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can, with your permission, look up leave balances, approve requests or draft payroll reports.
